Our God is a holy God. His glory comes not just from His majesty, but from His purity, His spotlessness. Many people long to radiate the same aura to the world. But how can we, human beings who often err, reflect His glory? (Inanimate things by their very existence show forth the wonders of our Creator God but we human beings with our self-will often make wrong choices that prevent us from doing so or that cause us to reflect something quite contrary to the beauty of our God. What we say about God is often negated by our actions that do not honour Him.)How can we, human beings who often err, reflect God's glory? Click To Tweet
We, therefore, need cleansing from our sins through the blood of Jesus. Subsequently, the indwelling of our person by God’s Spirit can enable us to live a life in consonance with God’s standards as shown in His word if we submit to Him. Then we can begin to reflect God’s glory. We need to be born again and live according to God's word to reflect His glory. Click To Tweet
This is a choice we can make today and we will see a marked difference between our lives and the degenerate lives around us and by God’s grace, we can help them choose the better way – JESUS. This is the implication of Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”When we reflect God's glory, it moves sinners to seek Him. 1 Peter 3:1-2 puts in clearer terms: “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation* coupled with fear.” Although this passage refers to wives in relation to their husbands, the message is applicable to every believer that has dealings with the unsaved.
May God grant us the grace to live by the precepts of Hus word everyday so that our lives may reflect His glory in this fallen world in Jesus’ name.
