THE MATCHLESS LOVE OF GOD

THE MATCHLESS LOVE OF GOD

Whenever I go through the book of Jeremiah, I’m so touched by how conflicted the Lord sounds in the prophecies. He feels compelled by His holiness to judge the Israelites for their idolatry and other sins but as He is pronouncing disaster upon them, in the same breath He is proclaiming pardon and restoration. Hear Him:

“For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege ramps and the sword in the fight with the Babylonians: ‘They will be filled with the dead bodies of the men I will slay in my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of its wickedness.
‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it … ‘ ” Jeremiah 33:4-9

This reminds me of some other inspired assertions by Jeremiah in Lamentations 3: 32-33:

“Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.”

Our God is such a tender-hearted Father, yearning for us to love and be one with Him. May He bring us individually to the place where we only live to please Him in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love like no other.. pure and unconditional. As the days go by I realise how desolate and miserable my life would’ve been without HIS love.

  • Beautifully said. God is an all-merciful, fair and tender Father.

His love is immeasurable; His love supersedes everything; His love is endless. What more can I say of thy Lord-we exist because of His love.

It’s of Good deeds to know that our Heavenly Father is love and care and only require We tracking our ways back to enable us to fit into the ways of the Lord. He doesn’t change

lord, there is no love on earth that can match your love for us. this was proven when you sent your only son to die for us on the cross so that we can have access to your mercy. lord i also understand the need to reciprocate your matchless love for me by being the best of who i am and by continually worshiping you and rejoicing greatly in your mercy.

our God is a merciful God He is not a man who will beat a child and never say sorry, even though we upset him, he is still patient and merciful to accept us when we turn back to him.

I love this post because of it’s truth. Honestly God can’t seem to make up his mind on whether to punish us or embrace us, to scold us or bless us, to push us away or give us a second chance. Lol. I guess that’s why he’s the best Father anyone can ever ask for . His love and compassion is truly immeasurable and matchless. Thanks for such an encouraging post aunty

God’s love for us is indeed immeasurable and indescribable, He is impartial in his dealings with his children and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in mercy. What a man we have in Jesus, a true father that never forsakes his children who always run unto him for unfailing help. This post gladdens my heart ma, thanks for sharing.

“For his thoughts for us are of good and not if evil.. ” God himself is love. And because he loved, we can now love today. There’s is no love like God’s love, the agape love. May God give us a heart of love like he did.

God is merciful even when he is punishing us for our sins. We don’t deserve his goodness at times because we overly disrespect his word. He gives us grace even when we have wronged him and there is no better love than that!!

  • I will a song on this . God is love 2x let us all rejoice and sing that God is love oooooo

  • Bassey Gideon

God has us at heart and everything He does is to build us up.

if God punishes us, He is surely going to restore us.
