Are you feeling alone and downcast? Does it seem like nobody cares? There is someone who does. He walked in your shoes over 2,000 years ago. He was hurt and abandoned by those close to Him. But he held up by this confession: “I am not alone, for the Father is with me.” – John 16:32 (ESV)I am not alone, for the Father is with me. - John 16:32 (ESV) Click To Tweet
The same is true for you today. If you’re a child of God, you’re never alone because your Father, the Almighty God, is with you. His Son, Jesus, bore not just your sins but your pains and hurts on the cross. You remember the popular scripture: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” – Isaiah 53:5. That’s what it’s talking about.

And before His crucifixion, He made the following promise to His disciples and, by extension, to you:
“16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” – John 14:16-18If you're a child of God, you're never alone for the Holy Spirit is always with you. Click To Tweet
That promise was fulfilled at the outpouring of the Holy Ghost at the Day of Pentecost (Acts, chapter 2), the same Spirit that came to live in your heart when you surrendered your life to Jesus.
“Because you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. He is the Holy Spirit. By his power we call God ‘Abba.’ ‘Abba’ means Father.” – Galatians 4:6 (MIRV)
“15. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” – Romans 8:15-16.

So, no matter what the situation is, remember God in His Son Jesus assures you today: “Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” – Matthew 28:20 (ESV). Hold on to Him and He will pull you through.
However, if you’ve never done so, you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour to become a child of God and you can do that by saying this short prayer.
PRAYER FOR SALVATION
Almighty God, I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. I receive the work Jesus did for me by shedding His blood for my sins. Write my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life and send your Spirit to live in my heart and teach me your word. I receive the grace to live a life that honours you henceforth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
