I got good news and did this little piece to celebrate it. Read and see the subject. Glory to God, the Maker of heaven and earth, who answers prayer. He is worthy of my praise! May He give you and your family many reasons to celebrate too in this year in Jesus’ name.
AUNTY SAYS, “WELCOME!”
You cannot tell the joy I feel
To hear your shrill and piercing cry
I know it’s not that you are ill
But Mama wants to scrub you clean
I really long to carry you
But phone calls will suffice for now
To see you stretch and hear you coo
Will melt my heart and make my day
I hereby join your dad and mum
To thank God you’ve safely arrived
I’m your aunty and I say, “Welcome”
You are truly loved and will always be

I assume this to mean the joy that comes with the birth of a new baby. But let us not forget in the course of revelry the need to implant in the new baby the seed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the bible says, “Teach a child the way he should go and when he is grown, he will never depart from it”. As parents, we dare not neglect our spiritual roles and obligations to a child simply because he is still little or that he or she is the only child.

I take this to refer to the happiness that is experienced upon the birth of a child. But let’s not overlook the necessity of sowing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the newborn during the celebration. Because the Bible say that if you teach a youngster the right path to follow even as an adult they won’t stray from it. Just because a child is younger the only child, we as parents and guardians should not shirk our spiritual responsibilities and duties to the child
Good advice, but that will be when the child is older. You don’t preach to or teach a newborn.
