FROM BAIT TO CATCH #9 (SHORT STORY)

The heroine in our short story series, Sharon, seems to be undergoing a transformation for the better. At the end of the last episode, she senses intuitively that caring for her late MD’s infant son, Ikenna, would attract trouble to her. In what form and from what quarters does the trouble come? Let’s find out in this episode of our highly engaging story.

BAD THINGS COME IN THREES

Raphael and I went through Ikenna’s stuff. That bag had probably been packed in a hurry and it was obvious it wasn’t done by a woman. The baby’s warm clothing wasn’t there. There was a half-full tin of infant formula and some day clothes.
I told Raphael to call the managers and tell them the situation. He didn’t know exactly who to call but I suggested he start with the one who brought him to my place.

The man said he didn’t know where Mary lived or who packed the bag as it was brought to the company premises. He promised to make inquiries but called back an hour later saying I should do the best I can as no one seems to have Mary’s address. Instead of wasting further time, I asked Raphael to watch the baby while I went to a nearby supermarket to get more baby formula, cereals, baby blanket, cap, stockings, night suits, potty and pampers. Needless to say, I exhausted the money the accountant gave and some.

By midweek, the MD’s first son, Chukwuma, had arrived from Europe. He had two other siblings: a girl in Canada and a younger brother in South Africa. He held a series of meetings with the company’s lawyers and management. Raphael came to see me everyday but there was nothing definite to report. I wondered how he got money to move around but I didn’t know how to offer him financial help without bruising his ego.

Meanwhile, I was running low on provisions for the baby. Baby stuff was expensive (Heck, everything was expensive!) and I’d gone for the best. I’d bought a cot for Ikenna. I also had a paediatrician run a check on him when I suspected he was about to come down with a cold. He recommended some supplements and when picking them up, I got Complan. The last thing I wanted was for the baby to get sick on my watch.

Raphael hadn’t checked on us for a couple of days because he went to see his mum in the east, so I used more of my own money to buy the stuff that was needed. When he came by on Monday and I told him, he said he’d informed the accountant but that nothing was forthcoming.

“It appears they are planning to make some changes in the company and everyone is careful not to step out of line.”

That reply heightened my sense of foreboding but it also got my hackles up.

“Step out of line? What do they mean by that? I’m not asking for money for myself …. Wait, have they told this guy about the baby, that he has a little brother?”

“I don’t believe they have.”

“Well, what are they waiting for? Oh, they want to secure their jobs while they dump this baby on me?”

“We just need to be a little patient. Madam is due back tomorrow. If the situation doesn’t change, I’ll talk to her. Meanwhile, I brought you a little something to help.”

He brought out five thousand Naira which I collected and put back into his breast pocket.

“Hold on to that for now. Let’s see how things go.”

That was better than laughing in his face and reminding him I had much more than he did. I was certainly maturing. But my uneasiness about the matter continued to grow.

The only sunny spot in the cloudy situation was Ikenna himself. (He was and still is such a cheerful boy and he eats heartily, cereals and other foods.) I had the privilege of watching him take his first steps. Oh, the joy of it! Raphael just missed it by a hair’s breath but we had a lot of fun bathing the baby, clothing him, changing his diapers, feeding him and rocking him to sleep. I could easily do this my whole life, I thought. But time doesn’t stand still. He cut a tooth and as I agonised over his discomfort, I realised it was part of his growing up and he would someday soon be too big to piggyback as I joyfully did when stepping out of the house. (Old school mum mode fully activated. Lol!)

A week after Chukwuma came home, his mum returned from Canada. Raphael was in the delegation that went with the staff to welcome and condole with her. Nothing was said about Ikenna and we thought maybe a smaller group will see the family shortly after, but a fortnight passed and nothing was done.

Then Raphael informed me one evening that after some scrutinization of the HR* department, they said our appointments were irregular and we were reassigned to Corporate Communications and IT Departments. (Even though I was miffed, viewed objectively, that move was understandable because the MD singiehandedly hired Raphael and I. Besides, the work we did for him was of a personal nature and no longer needed since he was late, unless of course the family still wanted us to do his biography.) However, from then, everyday Raphael came with bad news.

image

First, our salaries were slashed by fifty percent. We were stepped down to a basic salary of seventy-five thousand Naira each. Second, all our package of allowances (which is where the juicy stuff really is) was stopped. I was the only one affected really ’cause Raphael was yet to be paid. This action translated to a cut of about three hundred thousand Naira per month for me. Then the last nail in the coffin was hammered: I was sacked for “absenteeism”. The whole thing seemed inexorable like a programmed misfortune. I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare with no means of escape.

Reassignment and some reduction in allowances I knew were inevitable with the MD’s death, but these measures were just too heavy-handed and reeked of malice. Raphael held me and began to answer the questions I could not bring myself to ask.

“This is totally unfair. Since I had witnessed firsthand the insincerity and spinelessness of the managers, I tried to see Mr. Chukwuma Igwe to explain why you’ve been away from the office. His secretary had been instructed to bar me from seeing him but I barged in.”

Although I wasn’t really expecting any respite from his encounter with Chukwuma, I looked up and gave him my full attention. At least, he stood up for me. He alone, of all the staff (who by the way got me into this situation)!

“He directed his secretary who ran after me to leave and asked me to sit down. I told him I wasn’t interested in getting anyone into trouble but that there were things he needed to be briefed about. I informed him that your absence from work was fully endorsed, was in fact instructed by the Deputy MD and that he should ask the managers to tell him everything he needed to know.

“His answer was dismissive.

“‘Young man, I’ve learned everything I need to know from the company records.’

“But I insisted, ‘Sir, with all due respect, not everything is in the company records.’ He then ordered me to quit being cryptic and spill whatever I think he needs to hear. I told him it’s better these things come from the managers, that I’m just a new staff.

“‘But you seem to know a lot about the company,’ he remarked, while sending for the Deputy MD. ”

“You took a big risk for me, Raphael,” I observed, wondering how the Deputy MD presented the matter when he arrived. Once again, Raphael didn’t keep me guessing.

“I am just too ashamed to tell you what happened next,” he continued, shaking his head.

Such a trying time for Sharon. I pray God sees her through. Nice story Aunty Edith, please keep them coming.

    • Edith Ohaja

Glad to hear from you, Chidinma! The next episode promises to be exciting. You are so blessed, my dear. And thanks a great deal for the kudos!

  • LAWRENCE ERNEST ENYI.

This is the change we’d expected from sharon.

for raphael to do that was absolutely correct. his subsequent suspense on mr. igwe was a great one. he acted responsibly, even though it landed him out.

    • Edith Ohaja

Yeah, I think so too, Lawrence! He took a big risk for the woman he loves. He chose not to be silent like the rest of the staff. He’s my definition of a great guy.

  • LAWRENCE ERNEST ENYI

Wow! Wanna Be Like Him. GUYS! EMULATE RAPHAEL.

  • Chinaza

Sharon is really maturing and I commend Rapheal’s actions.

    • Edith Ohaja

Yes, she is. It’s not good to write people off so easily. Who would have thought she will be like this going by her thoughts and behaviour in the beginning.

  • Rachael Obiora

she is not happy and behaves more matured than the first few episode .He has to in other for him to know how things are going.

  • Chinemerem

I see that Sharon is behaving much more mature now.
Raphael barged into that office, heroic indeed, but why, what if the man gets so angry and fires him?
You see, it’s his fault that Sharon lost her job. If he wasn’t being so ‘helpful’.

  • Sharon has made quite an improvement to her behavior, and i must confess that i am very proud of her. Raphael should be commended for his action as he had to stand up for the right thing, and quit living in the shadows

    • Edith Ohaja

Me too. It’s really heartwarming to see someone admmitting their mistakes and steering their lives in the right direction. Bless you, Chiamaka!

      • Ani Chiamaka theresa

Wow.. Sharon z really turning into a matured girl wit some good reasoning.. Again,, d efforts made by Raphael to go into Chukwuma,s office z commendable,, lols, perhaps it was done out of love

  • onyeabor ijeoma

wow she has really changed she now appreciates Raphael. yea it wasn’t bad, even from the days of John the baptist they”ve always been violence Matthew 11:12 lol, Mr chukwuma needed someone to tell him the truth, and that was the only way he can see him, though it never brought forth fruit but it’s something

  • UGWU AMARACHI CHINEMEREM

Woow i am loving the new sharon i think she is better off that way, i love Raphael’s action i mean he is defending her, i really commend his action

  • Ekechukwu Nkechi

naahh, I don’t think what Rapheal did was wise at all. He should have allowed Sharon defend herself and as for Sharon, she is coming up well with her new role as a foster mother.

  • Udeh Favour Makuachukwu

I definately love the new Sharon because she is more tolerant and mature. I do not condem Raphel’s action because as we all know from the begining of the story, he is selfless

  • Amadi victoria chinwendu

Sharon is now behaving in accordance to the new relationship with Raphael. Raphael was only trying to fight for Sharon but on the other hand, he shouldn’t have barged into Mr Chukwuma’s office because it might have resulted to something worse he should hsve tried talking to him the next day since he was denied entrance the first day. I can’t wait to know what will happen next.

  • Amachukwu Amarachi

Humans wakes up with different attitudes everyday, so, kudos for her recent transformation. As for raphii, everyone admires the bold, brave and courageous persons,no one honours the timid.even though u are facing downturns now in the long run you will surely reap what u sow, in the aspect that U don’t give up.

  • 0NAH EZINNE JULIET

She is a human and her job is a stake and she need that job to sustain her herself, support in their marriage plans and sustain the baby also but all the same, in every difficulty, there must be a way out..

  • EZE,NNENNA VICTORIA

HMM,what all this. This is a trying moment for Sharon in opposition in what happened in first episode where every thing was ok.Well ,concerning Raphael attitude I think what he did was out of anger and Ihope it doesnot cause him pain.

  • Shade

Sharon has grown more matured kudos to Raph for standing up for Sharon.

  • Abugu Nkemjika Edith

It is really going down really hard on Sharon and the company is not really helpful. I feel that all the bad news is part of what she has to sacrifice.
I really commend his behaviour because they both agreed to take care of Ikenna which their co-workers are aware of so I dnt see anything wrong with it.

  • Ogwudu Onyinyechi Linda

Wao , there is improvement, kudos to Raph for stand for his wife to be

  • Ihezie Ebere Christiana

she’s human and bound to feel discouraged, so much catastrophe, dear God pls give them strength. Rapheal did that out of love and he’s not to be blamed. Love rules over protocol

  • Augustina Okpechi

Sharon is taking things step by step and Raphael’s barging in is real nice

  • Ibemma Immaculata Ginika

Sharon is really facing the other side of life and she is taking it maturely, Raphael is also doing a great job by being on her side.

  • Nweke Jemimah Chisom

a big blow for Sharon! its actually too much..am so curious to know what happened next.

  • Eze Benjamin Oduma

Her new pattern of life is as a result of mature understanding which she embraced as I advised, as against her immaturity and lack of understanding which beclouded her emotions in the past.
Sometimes, protocols may be broken in order to do the needful, he is not be blame for that, bear with him.

  • Agi Comfort Obahi

sharon s now becoming responsible and mature for Raph to stand up for sharon at work, shows that he really loves her and i doubt if sharon would have done the same for him.

  • ALEGU, SOLOMON CHIDI

As for me, Sharon has realised her mistakes in the episode 1 of the story. She now tries to adjust to positive attitude and perspectives so as face the daily revealing mysteries of life even in her relationship with Raphael. Then, Raphael’s attitude of barging into Mr Chukwuma’s office is disrespectful. The idea behind his mission is not actually wrong but the approach applied to accomplish that mission is rude and callous.

  • Akabuike chisom

The excerpt from Ebukris that being responsible comes with accepting more responsibilities might be an explanation to Sharon’s matured stance to the situation. Raphael came up with the idea of babysitting the MD’s baby so he is expected to correct the anomaly that arose from such miscalculation.

  • Emeh Esther

I love the fact that Raphael is always there for Sharon i respect his courage when he barged in to tell the truth; something needs to be done. The truth can never be hidden

  • Ekeh Chioma Jennifer

Well, Sharon is now a woman with brain in the head, then she was jst a girl with head without a brain..i like her character now.Raphaell, now you are behaving like an Enugu guy!……nice approach in handling situations and standing for the woman you love.HOW ROMANTIC…..thanks ma, nice work.

  • Onyinyechi Ukamaka Ekwem

Wow! Ma, i am really getting tensed here. I really think Sharon is going to go insane if she doesn’t calm down and look for a way out. And for Raphael’s action, for love, i commend it, i mean he loves her and so he would do anything for her but for courtesy, NO! he shouldn’t barge into his superior’s office in that manner, if was to be Mr Chukwuma, i will walk him out.

  • Ohakwe Oluchi judith

Life they say is unpredictable it can turn around in fraction of seconds I really commend Raphael’s attitude for standing for Sharon that was what he needed to do to save her from losing her job..
Everyone has that good side even amdist wickedness Sharon wasn’t that bad initially just that she was too full of her self maybe because of her money.

  • sharon behaves more matured now than in the first episode and i think she enjoys the motherhood now, As for Rapheal the way he barged into the MD”s office is not proper but i think he did it because of the love he has towards her..

  • Fidelis Favour chiamaka

Sharon is finally maturing……. She now sees the things that Raphael sees even though things aren’t looking well for them at the moment. Raphael was wrong barging into Mr Chukwuma’s office but he was trying to help her. I just pray his action doesn’t get him into trouble.

  • Ezike ifeyinwa .a.

sharon is human, her reactions are very much justified, no one loses their job and gets excited about it.
i commend Raphael for trying, why punish someone for something that isn’t her fault.

  • Njoku Chioma Grace

Raph’s action was risky and could have cost him his job but this shows his courage and willingness to stand up for others no matter the cost. i just love his personality.

  • Osuegbu prisca adanna

Sharon is now humble and calm. As they say “love is blind”. Raph did all that because he loves Sharon and couldn’t bear the fact that she was treated unfairly. So,his behaviour is actually commendable.

  • EMekaobi ijeoma rita

Sharon is getting mature and I applaud Raphael for his action

  • Izukah chinonso favour

I think it is normal for Sharon to feel devastated because merely looking at it she is doing the company a huge favour but because of the company’s ignorance she was sacked ….and I actually commend rapheal for the brave act it actually shows how man enough he is

  • Oleru precious

Sharon is now modest, some situations help bring out the good side of people.Raphael is a gentleman for defending his lady

  • Ezenwa Obinna G.

As a human it is natural for Sharon to behave the way she does behave now. Raphael’s action is to be commended because if he did not act as he did, he might give Sharon an impression of cowardice.

  • Rose Jonathan

Caring for an orphan elicits God’s favor, not punishment. God will intervene.

  • Ibute kosisochukwu nina

I really do love the way Sharon is behaving now, she has so changed and she behaves more mature this time around compare to the first few episodes.
I commend Raphael for doing what he did on the behalf of Sharon. It shows that he truly loves her and do not support evil.

  • maduebo ifunanya blessing

wow! Sharon has really changed. She is now an epitome of good. wow!! this is the lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. i commend Raphael’s action, he did the right thing jare.

  • Nwankwo gift

This is a difficult time for both of them. This is the time they will know what they truly mean to each other.

  • Sharon present attitude showed that she is rational human being.i commend what Rahpael did, he truly love sharon and he was ready to die for her.that was the kind of sacrifices God made for us by given his only begotten son Jesus to die for our sin .Thanks ma,indeed u are God sent . .

    • Edith Ohaja

I never thought of it like that. But now that you mention it, the sacrificial feature of love does shine through. Thanks a whole lot, Gloria! You are super blessed in Jesus’ name.

  • DIM CHIKODIRI VIVIAN

Sharon is behaving as a sensible woman, caring and loving as well as matured. I salute her because it not easy for her, still she took everything easy. I like the fact that Raphael barged into Mr Chukwuma’s office because he needs a reminder and give credit to whom it due.

  • Ekpali Joseph Saint

as i predicted earlier, “Sharon will soon be transformed’. the coming together of Raphael and Sharon is indeed a blessing and it will definitely transform the life of Sharon for the better. For Raphael, he stood for a right course. Though he took the risk of speaking on behalf of Sharon when others kept quiet. In few words, he is an epitome and for me, patron of right deeds.. thanks ma for bringing in this… it’s wonderful

  • Ene Esther Obiageli

Hmmm, Sharon now acts scared as opposed to how confident she was at the begining i guess it has to do with the changes the company is facing. I also comend Raphael

  • Monye Gift

I think she’s beginning to act with maturity and Raphael’s protest for her isn’t a bad idea

  • sylvia ugwoke

i never thought she had a soft her. i really pity her now. i commend it because sharon in her position got him the job, so the best he can do is defend her.

  • Blessing chinenye

Sharon is becoming stronger now and i commend Raphael`s action.it showed that he really love Sharon.

  • Chigbo Ifeanyi James

Sharon is more matured in behavior now, caring for someone apart from herself. That’s a big improvement.
Ralph is such a good caring man, I just hope he doesn’t suffer so much because of it

  • EWA CHIAMAKA

I am loving her bit by bit and I commend Raph for that bold step he took

  • she is partially showing interest in rapheal now and Rapheal bargging into the MD”s office is normal.

  • ugwu kosisochukwu ifunanya

She is improving, she now cares for other peoples feelings unlike before.
Ralph behaviour was so nice and caring. I am now believing that he really loves Sharon.

  • sharon is finally growing up and for raphael who barged into the MDs office shows he is selfless and courageous..

  • Eze, Chime Mark

It has been my worry for Sharon to turn to a new leaf, I think it is coming into accomplishment. It is what I expected of her for a long time. On the other hand, I think it is a nice action. It simply shows the rate of his love for Sharon.

  • ISRAEL CHINWE GOODNESS

just like she said maturity is setting in and yes Rapheal did the right thing.

  • Osere Theresa Ebiyun

sharon is just tired of the whole situation cos she doesn’t deserve all the things shes experiencing right now, and i commend Rapheal to be by her also cos he is the second person that knows what Sharon is feeling and they are both on the same side..

  • ATUDUME BLESSING CHINWENDU

Sharon’s behaviour has changed drastically(which is actually a good thing). she has become more understanding and sensitive to issues and i commend Raphael’s actions because he is simply fighting for the interest of Sharon.

  • Sharon’s is more matured and has come to face the realities of life and that, its not really about materialistic things. I condemn Raphael’s actions because he is trying to protect his job at the expense of Sharon’s.

  • Luke Chinyere Esther

she is so acting like she’s really in love now and for Raphael’s action, what he did was right

  • Nwanze Favour

Sharon is slowly becoming a woman..her evolution in the play is drastically mind blowing. I knew she would mature but not this fast. Rapheal was wrong for barging into the office of his MD,I am sure if he had entered politely Chukwuma would have listened to him. Well he already paid for his actions

  • ekwuru chidimma Jill

Sharon is of a good behavior now…and Raphael’s attitude towards chukwuma to speak on behalf of Sharon is not that bad according to my view bcos something needs to be done about it.

  • EZEMA CHIDINMA GLORIA

Sharon behaviour right now shows that she has mature instead of her former behaviour, she has really improved. I really commend Raphael courage of going to Mr Chukwuma Igwe’s office to protest on behalf of Sharon.

  • DELISE PHILOMENA,UGWUOTA.

SHARON IS SO SO AMAZING NOW, EVERN ON TH WAY SHE TREATS RAPHAEL SHE LOVE ,RESPECT HIS ACTION AND EVERN REMAIN IN IT.RAPHAEL IS A GOOD EXMAPLE OF A LOVELY HUSBAND AND HIS WIFE RESPECT THE FACT. I AM REALLY FEELING THE WIND,I LOVE THIS,SO CARING YOU KNOW….

  • Rahman Peace Taiye

Oh Raphael! A knight in shining amour. see how he charged into the office to defend his love. so brave. He did that, not even minding the consequences. that’s rare to see in a guy. Kudos!
I think everything happening now, is making Sharon a better person.

  • Soni-Onovo Ezinne Therry

Wow, this story is so good. I will like to be more than you ma in writing @edithohaja. Raphael attitude of walking into the office ia really risky, but brave on his side.

  • egbe ebere blessing

she is now acting more matured, experience they say is the best teacher and for Mr. Ralph. he did what every good friend is meant to do.

  • covenant

I would say Sharon is becoming more matured. As for Raphael what he did was right.

  • Ajibo lovelyn onyedikachi

undergoing some situations in life can actually bring a change into ones life, guess that’s what happened to sharon and as for raph he is a wonderful guy, i really commend him for that.

  • Ndubuisi Uchenna Nicholas

Sharon is now much matured now.
Raphaels action was stupid but brave and bore good intentions

  • Nathalie Ukwu

Sharon has definitely turned the tables. Taken from the way she handled the monetary situation and Ikenna, it could not be more glaring. Raphael should not have barged into Mr. Chukwuma Igwe’s office because nothing good comes out of anger, best count to ten if it helps keep calm.

  • EZEIKE OGOCHUKWU JUSTIN

He took a healthy risk for his love…good guy.

  • Igboji Victoria Unique

sharon is now in love with raphael and i don’t condemn them

  • onyeka pamela chiamaka

i think Sharon has really taken a big step in her life. she is now mature.

  • Adaeze Ogota

people can change. Sharon has turned a new leaf unlike before. i seriously commend on what Raphael did, kudos!to him

  • chioma Jeremiah

He took a risk for her which is beautiful. Sharon is so lovable now…

  • okeke grace Amarachi

Motherhood has happened to our dearest Sharon,im glad she now thinks maturely unlike before.Raphael’s actions although rash but yielded result at least he got a listening ear even though his request wasn’t granted.

  • Onyekaozuru Florence

Yea Sharon has changed a lot and I think she now understand love is not selfish and for Raphael behavior I commend

  • mordi ifeoma

Sharon finally accept the fact that she is in love with Raphael. Raphael had to do something, it wouldn’t be fair if there is the slightest chance that Mr igwe is not fully aware of what is happening and that his decision would have been different.

  • Priscilla Egwuonwu

It’s obvious that Sharon is growing and becoming a better person as opposed to her earlier show of immaturity.
Raphael proved his sincere and true love for Sharon by seeking justice on her behalf. That shows he really cares about her

  • There is nothing as good as how Sharon realized all her flaws ND weaknesses with the aim of correcting them, she really turned a new leave! I still recommends what Raphael did!

  • Ezeagbo ifebuche juliet

In my own opinion, Sharon is behaving more matured now than before. She is handling the situation in a good manner. Also, Raphael confrontation to chukwuma was not a bad idea because he needed to make chukwuma understand the reason why Sharon is always absent from work

  • maduabuchi Ebube Deborah

I really appreciate the fact that sharon is now changing unlike before,at least this shows she really have a kind and soft heart but i hope this will not shatter her dream.as for Raphael any action u take once it is for sharon it doesnot mean anything because love can make someone to do the undo and for him to stand for his girlfrirnd in time of need really shows what true love is all about.

  • IKEBUAKU EZINWANNE.K.

Sharon’s expressions are now made of humble and lowly materials which is very okay than her previous ways of doing things in the name of smartness
What Raphael did was okay after all he was only trying put things together knowing that the absenteeism of Sharon in the work place was as a result of Ikenna.

  • ofodile.c. vivian

As regards to the first few episodes, Sharon was more confident and out-going but the thought of her loosing her job has indeed humble her in some ways.

  • In my own opinion, Sharon has changed for the better. Raphael made a nice decision, I think i like what he did.

  • Nkiru Amaechina

Sharon is now matured, that’s very good of her…….

  • Analike Vivian U.

I think she is behaving quite normal because she is experiencing what it means to love and care about someone. though she must have lost her job but the joy of keeping a child and loved by someone perfectly, gives her more joy.
In answering the second question, i think that was the only way to confront and talk to Mr. Chukwuma Igwe since he was barred and stopped on several occasions . I also think he was deriven by the power of love. he couldn’t watch his love suffer for what she never committed.

  • Akogu Chidiebere Imelda

Not quite strange. Raphael standing up for Sharon was not a bad thing to do, it is the only way he thought will help her gain her job back.

  • chidiogo Georginah

Her behavior in this episode is opposite of how she was behaving in the beginning this is because she would have accused Raphael for conspiring with the executives to sack her but she was not
Raphael barging into Mr chukwuma’s office to protest can be justified since the secretary wouldn’t allow him to enter and see the man.

  • Anigbo chisom a

No doubt,, she reasons and behaves more matured than in the first two episodes. She didn’t let wat she is passing through get in her way of being happy and fun to be with.she now acts and thinks like a Real woman…*winks*

  • Udeh,victor chukwudi

Ì commend and recommend Raphael for letting the Cat out of the bag,the Manager must be punished

  • chika divine umunnakwe

Sharon was proud, immature and selfish in the previous episodes, but there comes a change of behaviour! This tells that even after all her negative attitudes, and display, there are amazing attitudes she got! She is sympathetic, hopeful, considerate and positive.
    2. I condemn his action because the new boss might be difficult and not considerate. He could accuse and sack Raphael and Sharon for breaking his office rule.

  • Ebreso Benjamin Bassey

Well, it may seem Sharon had this sense of maturity all along but it was concealed within her, and all that she needed, was a change of mindset in the likes of being in love, to ignite that sense of maturity in her.. Onthe other hand, Raphael pulled a brave staunt there and deserves the credit. sofar love was his influence, it was worth the risk.

  • okonkwo chidimma benita

I hope she passes through this period..so confusing for her.. I think there is something fishy.

  • Ndukwe Catherine

she has matured over a small period of time and to my opinion is that she has come to realized that all that makes a man is not of what he has in possession but the number of lives you were able to impact. she is no longer being selfish as she was doing in the early episodes. I really commend Raphael for his action in defending Sharon as it show that he truly loved Sharon. He has the option of not defending Sharon to keeping his job but he didn’t and that calls for recommendation.

  • Ugwu, Chinagorom Joseph

I think Sharon now exudes a sense of msaturity; she is growing. There is perceptible mental maturity in her characters and reasoning unlike before. However, I commend Raphael’s Character of barging into Chukwuma Igwe’s Office. This is because although silence is said to be golden, it is not necessary or needed in some circumstances like Raphael’s. There was need to clarify some issues. If he had been silent, the situation would have been exacerbated.

  • onyebuchi gideon

Love is a strong bond shaa. Is better someone says his mind than holding it to himself because when we will later spill it out, it will be a bomb. so i commend Raphael’s barging into the MD’s office..

  • Nwosu Esther chioma

She is now acting responsible and yes Raphael did the right thing. This proves his love for her

  • maturity is taking place in sharon’s life just as she stated earlier in this episode. Raphael truly loves her. he could do and undo not mindIing the consequences

  • Amaechi Chinaecherem Chiemela

Sharon is becoming sensible in this later episode. It is a credit to her. Raphael’s action of barging into Mr Chukwuma’s office is commendable. I think Raphael did the right thing. This is what every man who love his woman will do. Especially as Sharon was fired because of nursing his (Mr Chukwuma’s) little brother (which he is not aware of). Mr Chukwuma appears to be ungentle and unreasonable as well. I believe there is no need trying to play gentle with one who does not appreciate gentility. Raphael has to defend his woman, if for no other cause, for the cause of injustice played on her. He has to defend her for the sake of LOVE. Am glad he did defend her.

  • Ezenwafor Vanessa

Sharon is a changed person..very matured in her thinking compared to how the story started
I commend Raphael’s effort in standing up for her…it shows his love for her and passion for right things

  • Dorcas Philip Nkwonya

she definitely has turned a new leaf…Raphaels act on d other hand was irrational, but like they say, desperate situations requires desperate measures,so i guess he wanted to be sorted out so bad that he lost his cool.

  • Onyeabor Precious Chioma

I think Sharon is beginning to realize she loves Raphael. i dont condemn Raphaels act, it shows he loves her.

  • Azunna Ikechukwu O.

Sharon facing hard times and Raphael emulating good qualities

  • Reuben Empere

I like Sharon’s new behaviour and the way she handles things, Raphael barging into Chukwuma’s office was out of his love for Sharon, but it could be bad for him because he might lose his own job too.

  • Umerah Scholastica Ifeoma

Sharon`s current behaviour is very different from the way she behaved in the beginning..I am seeing her in another light now..she`s very caring, compassionate and strong..I commend Rapheal for standing up for Sharon because it takes someone with balls to do what he did.

  • odo chidera

Sharon’s behaviour changed over time, it is good and commendable, her behaviour in the past and her behaviour of recent are not the same. her behaviour now as opposed to her formal behaviour, i would not say it real or not. but for now she has made up her mind to be good to all, stay with Raphael because he is legit. and i would say that Raphael in her life contributed to the change of behaviour.
for Raphael barging into the MD’s, if i may say it is not right because his job might go in for it. yes he is fighting for a just course but he should have done that in a polite manner.

  • Chinecherem Victoria C

Raphael has decided to take the bull by the horns and his taking of the responsibility to ensure justice is done is very commendable..Sharon is also acting very mature, strong and compassionate. This is very different from the woman presented to us in the beginning of the episodes.

  • Akumambila ijeoma winifred

Sharon, she has really become a matured girl.she has learnt to appreciate Raphael.it’s really a good thing for Raphael to stand up for her.

  • daniel nnadi

She seems a little bit humbled by all that has happened on like other episodes. I support him because he did on behalf of Sharon.

  • Ibe Chinwe Cynthia

I commend the ‘new’ Sharon. A lot has changed (positively). Relevant priorities and a mature mind. Raphael’s forceful entry into Mr. Chukwuma’s office was a good move…without it, he might not have been able to see Mr. Chukwuma for God knows how long.

  • Adaora Onwuania

No, caring for a child whose parent are dead is a way God bless children, I would accept the baby and care for him.
I would say that they should keep up with their trust and helping the needy because they will be the ones to laugh last.

  • Adaora Onwuania

Sharon is been more worried because she has more issue now than then and it is affecting her behavior. Raphael is doing what any man who saw his wife going through hardship which he brought upon her would do.

  • Oweka Chioma Sandra

Raphael tries to save the day. But really, he should have thought twice before barging into the office

  • sunday chinecherem francis

    she’has been acting differently
i commend his move but he should be more careful

  • Njoku Chimamaka Elizabeth

Sharon is more matured and more Godly now compared to the beginning of the story.

  • precious onyeze

He acted on impulse I pray it doesn’t cost him much tho!. I commend his bravado anyway lol so manly.

  • Chinenye Nwokoye

Sharon is certainly transforming into a mature woman.
And Raphael as always has a quiet mqnly and commendable act

  • Okereafor, Cynthia Uchechi

Sharon is showing signs of maturity. She is clearly growing into a full Woman and a rational human being. unlike before she was been naive. I think I commend Raphael’s barging into Mr Chukwuma’s office to protest on behalf of Sharon because one, Chukwuma’s mind had been poisoned against Sharon and consequently, he was banned from entering his office. and for the fact that he needed to clarify things, his barging into the office was necessary.

  • Josiah Judith enobong

Well it’s a tough time for Sharon but will really commend her maturity & her ability to be patient to listen; indeed Raphael is a darling & a friend indeed…. The ability to sacrifice for a pal natters a lot I really commend his attitude.

  • Onwuka Chinaecherem Emmanuel

Sharon unlike the previous episodes now acts matured, she’s now more of a wife than a desperate lady looking for a suitor; Raphael is a man indeed, a man that stands up for his woman; I really commend his courage.

  • onoja peace

I think Sharon is becoming mature.
    I commend Raphael

  • obianuju onyeama

Woow am really thrilled by this episode. Things hv really changed tremendously for them…. Sharon has also changed for d better than how she was before.. I think what Raphael did is okay

  • Nonike Victoria

in as much as things are not really rosy for Sharon, i can see that she has definitely changed for the better and as the story unfolds, Sharon is not half as bad as i thought her to be at the beginning of the story. Kudos i must say to Raphael for his actions but he should still realize that he needs his job and professionalism cannot be overemphasized.

  • Godwin Maxwell

like in the last episode, i said i foresaw a big controversy which will need a strong character to contain. Now it has happen! lets see how they handle this whole travesty..

  • Ezenwa Chinenye Evangeline

What a big risk he took. Defending the woman he truly love. Are there really guys who can still do this? Kudos to Sharon for improving herself, really loving her right now. I think Raphael is the reason oooo. Love conquers all.

  • chinonyelum onyema cynthia

Sharon has transformed into a mature and selfless woman. Raphael’s badging in was brave and selfless. bravo for him, he is truly a man.

  • onoh chiazo johanness

Sharon is doing just great and I admire her sense of reasoning.
for Raphael to barge to the man’s office which means he can do anything to defend their course and I commend his action….seriously

  • ugo ogwu

I now see her as someone who thinks with her head and heart not the other way round. As for raphael’s barging in, i will surly do more than that if i were in his shoes, so i commend his action. You know when u always keep quite people will always take u for granted that is why sometimes u have to show them that u re not dumb but waiting for that moment to show them the other side of u.

  • ugwuja cynthia chioma

it is just like the popular saying that you don’t teach the heart who to love, she has fallen in love and it is the manifestation of that love.

  • okereke chukwuemeka matthew

I like the way she behaves now, she behaves more maturely and sensical. I commend raphael’s barging in, because in some situations u show people that u re not a fool, that your closing of mouth doesn’t mean u re not there but waiting for the right time.

  • onuoha oluebube

I think she is gradually doing what I expected for a very long time. I prefer her attitude now to her previous attitude.

  • Onuoha Oluebube Jessica

Sharon, I think would be glad to mention her name. Her attitude now is quite awesome.

  • She is only getting matured and acting like a woman she should act like

I commend him because he also brought all these things on Sharon by accepting the responsibility of the baby on her behalf, so he will be able to stand and speak for her in her absence

  • egbukwu ogechi precious

I think Ralph did the right thing… As for my dear Sharon ,she deserves to act that way..they all got her into the mess

  • ozulumba chikodili

he took a big risk barging into the office because it could have caused them both their jobs. Sharon is just starting to see how sweet raph can be…..Nice. Exactly what she needs, someone to stand up for her in time of need.

  • Abonyi Juliet

It is obvious that experience has made her to become mature. Raphael did right, you would always defend who you love.

  • Otugo Lucky Joel

You can act as the occasion demands. The way she is acting is necessary due to her situation right now.

  • Okeke Miriam Uzochukwu

Her attitude right now is what I have been waiting for. I love it now.

  • Ndudu John

I think the situations of life have thought her a few lessons. She’s beginning to appreciate what she has in Raphael. Sharon has imbibed some of Raphael’s virtues which include kindness as we’ve seen in the way she takes care of Ikenna.
Raphael loves Sharon and when you’re in love you can go to the ends of the world for the one you love. I do not condemn him. He was simply protecting Sharon’s interest.

  • praise onaga

I am really impressed. Sharon has finally changed.I like what Raph did.

  • Onoh OZiomachukwu Beulah

well for love anything is right… he was trying to defend her.. and for he present attitude I love it

  • Edeh cynthia oluomachi

i must commend sharon’s maturity, it is not easy to take the responsibility of a child who is not biologically your’s. the stress, the money being spent, and also the time being spent together with ikenna. i know that her Good works will remember her at the end

  • igboecheonwu prisca

I commend his action, he did the right thing

  • Samuel Godsgift Akachukwu

Sharon is being more mature and I commend Raphael action for defending his woman.

  • nwafor chukwudalu franklin

I commend raphael for his actions and sharon will now know how much raphael really loves her.

  • opiri chidimma

Sharon seems to be turning a new leaf,i must have to commend Raphael for that act that shows that he loves her so much

  • Onah Joy Chinemerem

Sharon is now getting more matured and motherly.

  • Ononye Chisom Divinegift

Sharon is getting matured because she has experienced what it means to be a mother.and also Raphael made no mistake defending her woman because she committed no offence

  • Umoru Sadia Idris

In the begining of the story, i didn’t like Sharon. She was shallow and self centered, and she felt on top of the world. But now she’s sensible and very considerate. I like it best now that she has given her life to Christ instead of walowing in selfishness. Raphael did the right thing by standing up for someone he cares about, at least he made an effort. I would have done same for someone I care about

  • Okwor Donald

I think she is becoming lovely as opposed her previous behavior. I love it now

  • chekuzo veronica

Enter your comment here…love happens brobably she had a change of heart which is good Raphael stood up for Sharon which is rear with men that was a beautiful step he took

  • Ofoegbu Maureen

i commend Raphael’s action and well Sharon is really maturing and i like it

  • Akpan Agnes

He took a big risk for the woman he loves and i do not see anything bad in that. Sharon is beginning to behave maturely and that is a good thing

  • Asogwa Emmanuel C

She have learnt her lessons that life is dynamic; nobody knows 2moro. She is more matured now.Raphael did what every man in love would do

  • Joseph Edidiong

wow! i feel so sorry for Sharon and i hope she scales through successfully. Raphel did what almost every man would do. he was just trying to defend the one he loves and i think that’s cool.

  • Ejiofor Ekene Maduabuchi

Sharon to me is more mature now than before. And Raphael? Heroic act standing up for his woman. His action to some might have been brave but silly, but hey! there comes a time when one has to press the red button and Igbos would say, “ka anyi tie ya ka o waa.” That is to say let us throw it down to break. no matter how silly his action seemed, oh boy! I would have done the same, period.

  • Elijah Amogu

Most times we leave the beautiful character God deposited in us for foreign behaviours that are capable of destroying our destiny. I think Sharon’ attitude now is her real characater. She was just putting up a fake show at the beginning because of greed. On the side of Raphael, I think he did the right thing because sometimes we need to stand up for the people we care for.

  • EGBO BENJAMIN CHIGBOGU

Really, Sharon is getting mature, and wisdom seems to have taken its right curve on her. Raphael obviously did the very right thing, he stood for what’s right and i commend that, honestly.

  • Ibe Okwukwe Emmanuella

Am so impressed with Sharon and Raphael, happy with Sharon for now been so matured than she used 2 and also happy with Raphael for showing what a man he can be by taking that bold step.?

  • ATTIH, FAITH ETIM

Atimes certain relationships with good, committed and dedicated fellas can change a bad person to someone good and worth emulating. Kudos to Raphael.

  • ifebe june sobechukwu

    nice one…courageous move

  • Jackreece Princess Daeregoba

Everyone will act the way she is.. She is on a shaky bridge… She is confused, she doesn’t know what might happen next.. It is really a pity and I really feel for her..
Raphael did what he did, out of care for her, I strongly commend!!!

  • nwobodo amaka

    wow. this is shocking

  • caius precious chinwendu

sharon is growing up and i commend Raphael for his actions. he stood up for her, personally i love it when people do that for me.

  • ulu christiana chinenye

sharon acting strong now and i commend Raphael action because since he was not allowed to talk to Mr chukwuma peacefully, he did that violently to show the extent of love he had for sharon.

  • ubah chisom mariagorathy

Experience they say is the best teacher,Sharon growing up in this story is out of her experience and i also commend Raphael for standing up for her.

  • the change in sharon is alarming; im seeing the beautiful girl inside. ralph is a knight in shinning armour and his actions are commended by me

  • Chukwunwenwa Chinenye

    I like the new Sharon…
Just like Sharon said, she is really maturing. I’m glad she turned a new leaf. Well, a wise person should. Moreover, certain situations and responsibilities have a way of shaping ones life.
    _
I can’t condemn Raphael’s action. He did what he’s supposed to do. I really commend his act of bravery. Besides, it was Sharon who brought him into that firm.

  • Sharon has gotten rational and mature as compared to the former episodes. The slash of the salaries, the dismissal was too cruel for her to take it all in at once. At some point, i really wished Sir Benedict didn’t die. I also commend the way Raphael barged in to talk to Mr Chukwuma about Sharon. That was obviously the best option for such situation.

  • Andeshi Moniica

Raphael did what he thought was best to be done, at least he stood up for Sharon, i just pray he is not misunderstood by Chukwuma and probably seen as a threat and lose his job, i just pray. As for Sharon, time and motherly responsibilities have really humbled her, she sees things differently and more maturely now which is really very nice…

  • Sharon is surprisingly taking the situation better than I thought. Raphael had no choice but to barge in and talk some sense to him, and get him to understand the technical situation but to no avail till Madam comes.

  • Ogbu Gloria

Sharon now understands life than she did earlier and one thing that is prompting this new attitude is love.
Raphael did a wonderful thing by trying to fight for Sharon, the rest that couldn’t stand for her/that denied her were simply heartless.

  • Omaga Chiagozie

Well I like this new Sharon it is for the better and i think is the situation is one of the contributor to the change. The change in the company was expected but sacking her totally is on called for and the people that impose the child on her were not helping matters. I think Raphael did the right thing standing up for her sweetheart even when other did not.

  • okoye paschalmary

This is a blast for Sharon, I’m sure she didn’t see it coming. Oh God how I wish many more guys will try and stand up for their ladies like Raphael, relationships will last. The table is gradually turning like seasons of conditional rotation that occurs in solar system.

  • One thing I have come to understand in this life is that; life is always faced with challenges, sometimes it will be rosy while sometimes it will be bad. Sharon should take heart and understand that her condition won’t last forever,For every problem always have a way of escape. Raphael taking risk for Sharon is a rightful one, he barged into the office out of anger, because if you check the whole thing, they are on the losing side

  • Ezeh Onyekachukwu C

What a supportive partner. I cant believe he took that risk for Sharon. But what about the baby. Nobody is saying anything about him or do they really know that the baby exist.

  • Ejiofor Emmanuel

Mehn, this is too much burden for Sharon. Thank God she now acts maturely. Raphael once again proved that his love for Sharon wasn’t a joke. He is a supportive man. I pray the storm will be over soon.
