CONSIDER AND REMEMBER (POEM)
Halleluia!
[bctt tweet=”This is a poem that assures us of God’s faithfulness in answering prayer.” username=”edithsmusings”]
CONSIDER AND REMEMBER
You have prayed
You have waited
Now you’re wondering if at all I heard you
And you’re thinking your answers are overdue
But consider
And remember
The words I speak, they’re forever settled
In days and years, they cannot be scuttled
Like the flowers that bloom in springtime
So will your miracles appear in splendour
Like the calling of wrens and canaries
So will your songs rise to give me honour

Thank you Aunty I know that no matter the situation am passing through…God will set me free if only I put my entire(100%) trust in him. Most people trust God but still have other deity they worship…This poem will enable us know that God is supreme and only needs our love and trust to be able to manifest in our lives. The bible says This in Psalm 91:14-15: “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”
This is beautiful, Chika! Have a blessed new week and stay richly blessed in Jesus’ name.
At times, when we pray, it seems as if our prayers were not heard by the Almighty Father. Conditions may seem so bad that we begin to wonder if truly God’s plans for us are of love, and not of hardship. But if we can hold on to our faith, and remember His deeds in the past, and that which He has promised to do, we will surely overcome any situation…
That is so true, Chikwado. Receive overwhelming favour in this season in Jesus’ name. Amen.
This is beautiful! I think the timing in the Liturgical season is also fitting. This Friday, we will feel the emptiness and be reminded of the question that was in the disciples’ hearts: will Jesus fulfill his promises? We are met with the joyous reminder on Sunday as we celebrate Easter.
Wow, thank you so much for pointing that out to me. I just wrote as I was led without realising the timing could be significant like that. May the contents of this poem be your testimony in this season in Jesus’ name. Amen.
This is lovely – God’s got this! 🙂
Indeed! That is why we call Him our Ebenezer! Bless you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I read Song of Solomon in the morning and was meditating on the flowers that will bloom in season. Amen ..this is anointed and so beautiful. I am so blessed, God bless you. As usual, your poem is rich and deep 🙂
Praise God! Rita, you’re such an encouragement. Your words are so uplifting. You are wonderfully blessed in Jesus’ name.
wow this is so beautiful!
Praise the Lord, Hyla, and be wholly blessed in this season in Jesus’ name.
So beautiful, just today I was talking to my teen age son about how I want to read more poetry. And I found these gorgeous words here that shine from the light of God! Thank you!
Glad you stopped by, my dear sis. May God bless you and your family and grant you awesome answers to prayer in this season in Jesus’ name.
Thank you Ma, with God “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”. THANKS FOR INCREASING MY FAITH IN GOD. BLESS YOU.
And thank you for your constant encouragement. The Lord will prove Himself faithful in your life in Jesus’ name.
Thank you for this poem! I feel like it truly did speak to me during my own time of, “God – I keep taking steps in faith but I’m not sure I’m seeing results. Am I taking steps in vain?”
Love you, Lauren! We seem to meet from a distance on many platforms and I’m delighted you dropped by. We all have those times but God is also constantly finding means of assuring us of His faithfulness and glory to His name, He eventually works out all things for good for us. A merry Easter in advance to you!
Beautiful! The Blessing we receive when we have faith. God Bless!
Thanks for visiting and God bless you richly too, Yolanda!
I always take comfort in God hearing my prayers… Psalm 145:18 “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
Amen. Without God being there for us, I don’t know how we would cope with life’s troubles. You are richly blessed in Jesus’ name.
These are indeed words of hope. God does everything in his own way, he grants his children their needs, not wants, if only we can consider and remember his faithfulness. more of this ma
Praise God! Have a happy Easter, Victor!
Maria Edith you have such a gift with poems. This is beautiful and confirms what God has been speaking to me this year. Thank you for this poem
So nice of you to say that, Ailie! Glory to God! I admire your closeness to God and ability to hear from Him. It’s so necessary in our Christian walk to be able to have two-way communicattion with God. It brings us direction, strength and comfort. You are so blessed!
Even wen evrytin fails he remain solid God has d solution to our problem al we need is faith in him
Well said, Chidi! You are blessed!
Consider and remember the love of God for us is greater than any other thing in this world and he will always be there to save us. Consider and remember that his words in your life will always come to pass. Consider and remember that there is nothing to be afraid of..
I like this part of the poem “…the words I speak, they’re forever settled
In days and years, they cannot be scuttled.”
Glory to God! Glad you like the poem, Osmond, and have added to the message. You’re lifted, my dear, in Jesus’ name.
This really assures me that God is ever there and omnipresent…. He knows my problems and hears my prayers which I know are not in vain cus he will answer in due course. He has the best plan and knows the best timing. He never fails neither does he sleep nor slumber…. A very nice poem Ma.keep touching lives God bless you!!!
And bless you too, Vivian! Happy to hear from you.
Like the mangoes that come out during rainy season, so will your miracles come. So if you want your miracles carry sticks and stones and bring it down just like mango. Nothing beats that feeling when the miracle you pray for comes to pass… You’re like omg!! Fantastic feeling. God is awesome. Thanks aunty Edith. Out of the poems you’ve coined this is my absolute favourite
Oh-oh, why did you go and mention mangoes now? I wonder why I haven’t seen any this year. Is it because the rains have been late? But thanks sha, Ononso! Praise God you love the poem. You have a good command of English, wonder why you don’t write often.
Once we have truly asked and the Lord knows it is important to us, then in due season our request must be granted… That is what I know of God… Nice poem ma
At times, it seems so difficult for some of us Christians to wait for God remembering that what He has said, He will bring to manifestation. Circumstances of life most times try to make us forget God’s ability and promises towards us. But it will really be nice as Christians if we can put God’s word “between our ‘ tooth and gum’.” In other words, be conscious of the WORD. In this way we can always consider and remember that His Words concerning us must surely come to pass. Thank you for reminder again. Well done!
I love this poem ma. God is truly using you to speak to me. thank you for bringing my hope alive.
Sometimes, I ask some rhetorical questions especially when the going becomes tough. I ask questions like, “is God alive?” but something will hastily rebuke me, and I begin to reason like someone that has faith in God. Its not always easy but with God’s grace, we will jump and pass.
As i read this, i started singing this song in my heart, “In His time; in His time, He makes all things beautiful, in His time…” God’s time is the best. He listens to us and he will deliver our prayers like an express mail at the right time.
Great piece. Thank you ma
I say amen to every word in this post. the poem was very interesting and gives an assurrance that God will surely do what he has promised although sometime as the poem has also made it clear that we feel that he has not heard our prayer but he has and he will answer. remember a thousand years in our sight is like a day gone by in the sight of God and his ways are not our ways. in due time he will answer and we will testify.
Amen in Jesus’ name.
The words are really encouraging especially this time that people are passing through a lot of problems.thank you so much ma.
…Like the flowers that bloom in springtime
So will your miracles appear in splendour…
This is so reassuring. There are times challenges we face make us want to ask questions, forgetting that God neither sleeps nor slumber. He is fully aware of all we go through. When that turn around we’ve been waiting for happens it will be mind blowing. This is so comforting…. Thank you Ma
Wow! I read this poem like God was speaking to me. Nice one!
Wow!… Sometimes one feels life is not worth living but once you remember the promises of God, especially through daily meditation and studying of the Holy Book, u will see solutions coming in different ways……nice poem ma.
Many Christians are wont to question the existence of God, especially when faced with the difficulties and foibles of life. They tend to lose their faith in God. But this poem serves to dispel that notion. It is short but reassuring.
I am extremely overwhelmed by this poem because i’ve been going through some difficulties lately and sometimes I feel as though God has forgotten me. Thank you so much ma’am for rekindling my hope with this poem because now i’m sure God has a plan for me and that at his own time (which is the best) he will answer me. May His name be praised now and forever.
very fantastic piece
Amen…I think u wrote this poem specially for me aunty. Thanks so much for it
Once again you are a blessing to me this poem is timely. sometimes I get so worried that my prayers aren’t getting any attention but I know He hears and He will answer. Thank you, ma.
God’s promises are trustworthy. We can rest assured that after we pray, He will answer us in due time. The answers may delay, He knows the best time since time and space are under His sovereign disposal, we may need to cultivate a little patience of Job and the perseverance of Elija and the importunity of the poor widow. We can leave our eggs in His baskets and come back to meet meet them hatched. Thank you Ma for this faith-lifting poem.
Consider and remember that His word is yeah and amen. Heaven and earth may pass away but His word will forever remain, and that includes His promises. Thank you for the reminder!
Yeah. The master only wants us to Trust and Obey. Has he said a thing, he will accomplish it. Bless you Ma
Amen. I receive strength from this. Nice one ma.
Thank you ma for this. It’s indeed a beautiful piece. It’s the kind you wake up to in the morning and there’s an uplifting in your spirit. Thanks for reassuring us.
Total trust in God almighty is the key to our success in life. People, though believing in God, do not trust him 100% thereby patronizing assumed quick gods.
i have just been rejuvenated by this poem.
thank you maam.
may God continue to give you the inspiration to write more of this.
Waiting on humans can be tiring and the person might forsake you but when it comes to God, it’s a sure bet. So we should wait because it must happen. Also we should listen after praying because God may not will it how we want it. He is God, so he knows the best for us.
Awesome! I love this piece. Thank you for reminding us to stay strong in prayer.
Wow….what a nice way to remind us of God’s unfailing promises to us.
GOD surely does not go back on his promises and its safer to trust in him
This reminds me of a quote, “He might say yes, He might say no, he might not say anything but my God always answers me.”
This is true. Sometimes our faith seems to fail us, but the truth is that God is very much involved. God bless you, ma.
Life has taught me not to depend on mere mortals.Having faith in God is the best way to achieve success.
May God’s will be done. Prayer is the key. People say these things without really thinking much of it. Prayer is the key to solving or at least dealing with all problems and at the end, coming out with our heads up.
I know for sure that his words are yes and amen
The Bible tells us God is there, he is listening, and he is involved in our everyday lives. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” — 1 John 5:14
I am a victim of this, this poem gives me hope about my unanswered prayers. Thanks Aunt, for that.
You know, there’s something i’ve been asking of God and if u ask me i’ll probably tell you my answers are long overdue. Now though,i’m considering and remembering his words of promise and rescue and i’ll keep on hoping and believing.Surely,He’ll come through for me.Thank you ma’ am
our prayers are always heard by the Almighty Father. sometimes things get so bad that we begin to wonder if truly God’s plans for us are of love, and not of hardship. But he truly loves us, else why would he send his son to us?
God has his own way of answering our prayers, our time and Gods time are not the same.A lot of people mistake Gods silence for non existence,in all things we should have it at the back of our minds that Gods time is the best.
I don’t see this as a poem alone but a message which has given hope to a lot of people who are down. We tend to ask God why we are not seeing the results to our request but we forget that he said that heaven and earth may pass away but his words will not pass unfulfilled and I hold on to those words. Thank you ma, for this inspirational poem.
(smile) my patience shall be rewarded.
having faith after prayers is the ultimate because we know that no matter how long it takes, God will still answer us
This is inspiring.
Wow! This poem reflects what is happening among Christians. They don’t wait up for God to answer prayers, rather they resort to idols.. I believe that anyone who has been seeking something from God for a long time and is about running out of patience would hold tight to God after reflecting on this poem. Ma, it is so inspiring, I love it!
Motivating. It is indeed important to hold unto God and trust that he will answer our prayers
When ever we pray, we should believe that our prayers have already been answered, because our God is always faithful and he can make any impossibility to be possible. Praise God!!
I love this ma! He is our Lord, he never fails, even when all creatures fail, he stands by us, a little patience will make us to realise what he has for us, and whatever that comes from him is everlasting.
This is a very good poem. God is already working out my miracles.
Indeed times of trouble and trial make us wonder if God exists. It questions and tests our faith in Him. However, considering all his words of promise we are reminded that our God never fails us and His blessings come at the due time. This is a truly inspiring piece, Ma.
God has his own way of answering us, our time and his time are not the same. A lot of people mistake God’s silence for non-existence. In all things, we should have it at the back of our mind that God’s time is the best.
Gods time is always the best .This short poem carries a lot of inspiration and hope for the hopeless. Some people have always prayed to God and have always felt that He is not listening but after reading this poem, am sure that they will have hope.
let’s always remember God’s promises and stand on them. Ma, this poem is awesome!
The poem encourages we Christians not to lose faith in our prayers, as God has promised to answer and won’t fail us.
WOOOOW;
this poem is wonderful,i really feel like the poem was made for me. when am thinking He (God) is saying my answers are overdue
This poem comes as re-assuring words that God is still faithful in answering prayers, regardless of the time frame, just remember.
the poem is about patience. our prayers will be answered when the time is right. the manifestation of His word will be brought forth
Ma….,this is lovely, God has his own way of answering prayers ,because he is ever faithful
Woah! This is really an inspirational poem, it teaches Christians not to doubt.
No matter the hurldles of life, God is forever faithful
When God says something, he would surely do it. i can be assured that as long as i strive to be righteous in everything i do, hold God close to my heart and treat others how i want to be treated, my prayers to my God would never be hindered.
The word of God in our life is of the utmost importance, as seen in the poem. We can rely on his intervention especially when we go to him in prayer and make our request known to him in faith.
Whatever he decides can never be rescinded, that is really faith-strengthening!
When we pray we may not see the answers immediately but that does not mean we should lose faith in God, but rather believe that there are better days ahead..
Our prayers may be delayed but they must surely be answered. Sometimes when we pray, God decides to answer our prayers when He thinks it will be useful to us; that is why most prayers are being delayed. All that is needed of us is to be patient and faithful to God, for he is waiting for the appropriate time. Nice poem, Ma!
God’s time is the best- that has been a very famous saying and it rings with truth. We don’t get to decide the time when God answers, all we can do is to display faith and believe that when he responds, it would not be late.
wow, this is an assurance that God always hears us whenever we call on him and will definitely answer even though it seems our answers are overdue……thank you, aunty, for this inspirational poem.
Indeed, God is the comforter of the afflicted and he listens to us when we call upon him for help. Nice poem, I love this.
There couldn’t have been any better poem to explain that God’s words are Yea and Amen and nothing can go against it or stop it from manifesting. Once, I made a prayer asking God to save me from an embarrassing situation. At first, when I still met the same situation, I thought all hope was gone and that God never answers prayers. But I was wrong, because in a matter of just that week, the situation was settled. And I was like, when I expected the answer, it didn’t come. God acted on His own timing.
This particular poem has inspired me so much. When trouble, trials and tribulations come and am asking if God is still there, I should consider and remember. When we pray to God, we should believe that our prayers have been answered. This comes with so much faith and total surrender to him. Nice write-up, Ma.
This basically talks about God’s faithfulness and assurance that he is always there to answer our prayers whenever we call on him.
This poem shows that whatever we do as Christians, we should know we have covering in Christ Jesus and that whenever we call upon him, he’s there to answer even though the situations we find ourselves in are difficult.
