MUSINGS ON GOD’S WATCHFULNESS
Indeed He is! The Bible says in Psalm 125, verse 2, that as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people. I am one of His and if you are, this is your portion too.

Similarly, in Psalm 127, verse 2, we are told that staying awake and solving complicated equations in our head isn’t the way to get our answers. It says there that God gives us His beloved sleep because He shoulders our burdens.

The psalms are full of such assurances. Chapter 121, verses 3 to 5 say as follows:
3. He will not let your foot slip- he who watches over you will not slumber;
4. indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5. The LORD watches over you- the LORD is your shade at your right hand. (NIV)

It goes on to the end of the chapter reiterating that the LORD watches over His own, pointing out the benefits therefrom and promising that God will continue this watchfulness over His people forever.

And this is how the famous 19th Century French novelist, poet and playwright, Victor Marie Hugo put it:

“Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the
small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished
your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.”

Therefore, trust in God’s protection for afterall, you are His treasure and His joy. Stay blessed and rapturable!

Indeed His eyes is on the sparrow and i know he watches us.
As a hen watches over his chicks so does the Lord watches over us his children. Even when harm comes our way he is ever present to save us from all tribulations.
He always look after us, because we are his favourite…he loves u and i…. He loves everything that concerns us, he takes charge especially when it has to deal with….because his Banner over us is love.God bless u ma

In life, we ought to learn to be followers of God, in all that we do, in respect to knowing fully well, that it is not by our strength or might that we can achieve the good things of life but by believing in God and handing over all our endeavours to God Almighty who is the creator and controller of the universe.
Indeed! Line 5 caught my attention…… Because I know so many times I should have stumbled but the Lord protected me…..

Never doubted that he’s always awake, watching and protecting us lest we hurt ourselves or others hurt us. Aren’t we just blessed to have such a maker?. I Just imagine what would become of the world if the Lord decides to close his eyes for even a second. Now, what chaos that would be!. So when victor Marie says ‘God is awake ‘ I believe that God is indeed awake. Thank you for this post aunty.
i am grateful for this post ma because it encouraged me that despite what i am facing, the hardship or difficulty, God is always watching me and He won’t let me get consumed by whatever challenges i may be going through.
The Bible said if the lord does not watch over the nation in vain does the watch men keep sleepless night. His eyes is on the sparrows and I know he watches over us.
