BLESSED LIKE A TREE

As I went out today I took special note of the trees. There’s something about trees that reminds me of the faithfulness of God. Trees live very long, sometimes longer than the people in the environment where they are. That is why one of the best prayers for longevity is, “May your days be like the days of a tree,” inspired by Isaiah 65:22.

Trees are also very resilient. They can survive fire, drought, pests, etc.

The Bible assures us that we shall flourish like the palm tree, one of the most flexible, adaptive and infinitely useful trees in existence.

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” – Psalm 92:12 (KJV)

Palm trees sway and bend in winds, even those of hurricane force and snap right back when they pass while other trees, houses, etc. are flattened. I hope you are catching a revelation here.

So if our confidence is in God, tough times and the knocks of life will find it hard to knock us out.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
“He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” – Jeremiah 17:7-8 (ESV)

Even when problems and circumstances bring us down, we have a distinct chance of rising for the Bible testifies that:

“7. … there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease.
8. Though its root grow old in the earth, and its stump die in the soil,
9. yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.” – Job 14:7-9 (ESV)

And if you’re getting on in years, God releases the blessing that your strength shall equal your days (Deut. 33:25) and that you shall remain productive as He promised in the tree analogy earlier cited from Psalm 92.

“They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;” – Psalm 92:14 (KJV)

May all these promises above be your portion as you make God Almighty Lord of your life through Christ our Saviour. Amen in Jesus’ name.

Amen! Wow this is wonderful, so so wonderful! The part I love most is:
“Palm trees sway and bend in winds, even those of hurricane force and snap right back when they pass while other trees, houses, etc. are flattened.” That means regardless of how bad life hits us, we can still rise again. Regardless of how much we’ve been through …yet at the scent of water we will bud and put out branches like a young plant.” – Job 14:7-9 (ESV)
This is just a very good example of restoration. For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again (Proverbs 24:16) Thank you so much, Ma, for this. Your post gave me hope. God bless you. May you flourish like the palm tree. BTW, you look very beautiful.?❤️

Thank you Ma for blessing my spirit which such a sweet post, may our lives always flourish like the palm tree. Amen.

  • Plugging from this tree of knowlege, fuse positivity to fruition… Yes, trees appeared in several references in the Bible, ma. For an additional advantage, I qoute: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”-
Psalm:1:3. I pray the works of our hands should never be in vain..Thanks, ma.

That’s our earnest prayer every time. May we be strong enough to survive anything that comes our way in this perilous times. Like you said; if our confidence is in God, tough times and the knocks of life will find it hard to knock us out.
Let’s be strong and believe our God is in control.
    Thanks a lot ma

  • Thank you ma this is the kind of food we need in this season of tribulations and suffering, “So if our confidence is in God, tough times and the knocks of life will find it hard to knock us out” this is the part I like most. May the good Lord preserve us all

    Stay safe

As I have been enlightened by your teaching Mummy. I pray that God also grant you the grace of long life like the trees. Like you quoted here; “… there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease.”

No matter the ups and down. It will surely end in Praise. #GodNoGoShameUs

Well said ma! No matter what happens we should always stand tall and stay strong because we have a God that works in the affairs of me and we will always pull through no matter what it may be because he is ever faithful and reliable but we should always live in the fear of God.

My happiness is not just that I am a tree but in the fact that I am watered by the Lord. I will not only live long but in good health. My confidence is in Christ Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith. Blessings ma’am.

I pray that like the trees, we shall survive the “hurricane forces”, flourish like a tree planted by the water side and bear forth fruits. Amen!

“Palm trees sway and bend in winds, even those of hurricane force and snap right back when they pass while other trees, houses, etc. are flattened”
This means that a tree is likely to flourish with the right conditions in place. Palm trees flourish even with harsh weather conditions and this steadfastness is a trait derived courtesy of the presence of the Lord … Amen
    Truly education and exceptional ma’am.
