WELCOME, LIONS and LIONESSES!!!

Although the break was short, I believe you had a well-deserved rest. Those of you that I’ve seen are looking refreshed. One of my “sons” whose eyes were sunken and his cheeks hollow due to repeated night classes during the last exams has filled up to his normal proportions.

Some of you are back but anxious. Anxious about your grades in the yet-to-be published results, anxious about how you’ll sustain yourself in school with limited funds and so on. That is why I want to pray for you. My prayer is based on the scripture in Isaiah 28:16 that says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste (not be dismayed, not be afraid, not be disappointed).”

Put your confidence in God and be at peace. The exams have already been written. Worrying won’t change what you wrote but prayer can affect the way it is marked. Also, God may not provide all you need at once but He will not leave you empty-handed. Look up tp Him and live right. I believe if you do, you will not be put to shame.

PRAYER:
Almighty God, these young ones have come from far and near for another season of studying. Some are yet to return due to various problems. I lift them up before You that they may know You personally and experience the benefits of having You as their Father and Friend.

Teach them to depend on You and prove Your faithfulness to them every single day: in health, provision, protection, wisdom and every other area of need, may they have testimonies like Daniel and his friends when they were studying in Babylon. I ask these, believing You will do for them even more, in Jesus’ name.

Don’t worry. Like Samuel told the
Israelites at Mizoah, I’ll never cease talking to Bod on your behalf.

The hustle and struggle of being a lion. One thing I’m sure of is that one can’t survive in the den without a spirit hovering (God).

This is so what I need. May God bless you for sowing seeds of hope and life in the lives of his children.
