LORD, IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!

LORD, IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!

I’m reflecting on our relationship with God whom we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). The Psalms and contemporary Christian music are loaded with love songs to God. And some of them, like “You” by Plus One, I can play repeatedly. Its first stanza and refrain go thus:

Me, it was always all about me
My job, my plans, my time was all I cared about
Myself, I only needed myself to get me through my life
But suddenly I found – that

I want, I need, I crave, I breathe
I feel, I hope, I dream, I know
I trust, I lo-oo-ve You

Although God is incredibly high and lofty, though He dwells in unapproachable light, He takes special interest in us His handiwork – finite, weak beings dwelling in vessels of clay. Through His love, we can rise above the limitations of our nature and share His glory.

LORD, IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU!

But it all begins with this kindling of affection in our hearts for Him when we realize how far He has stooped down to raise us up and how much He has paid to redeem us from the corruption of our sinful nature. Then our focus is no longer ourselves, but Him. And the more we gaze in wonder at the beauty of His holiness, the more we are transformed to reflect the same (2 Corinthians 3:18) and we can change lives and situations around us.

You, LORD, it’s all about You!

Its simply risky attempting to live without Christ. Christ controls it all aspects of our lives.

The love of God, such a powerful drive to the extent that it constrains us from doing something wrong.

Nice one ma. You always know the words to uplift a soul. I am reminded of Gods love. Life is indeed meaningless without him…

i wish to relate this post to another that i read on this blog titled: answers to tricky questions of faith-how old is the earth?
instead of worrying and worrying some things that might appear mysterious to the human eye, i feel all our focus should be placed on God because in the end, it is all about him: knowing him better, understanding him better and serving him better. some people wish to discover more and more about some tricky concepts of God’s creation, failing to realize that the idea is just to base all of our attention on God. He is the reason for our being and without him there was nothing made that was made.

instead of asking and asking questions about the mysterious things of life, christians all over the world should focus more on knowing God, understanding him and striving to serve him better. some people are only interested in researching and findong out more about about some things about God’s creation that might look tricky to human eyes. forgetting that the sole idea is to focus wholely on God. it should be all abopu GOD because he is our creator and without him, there was not anything made that was made.

The song “All I need is you” touches my life so much. It reminds me that all I need is God in my life. There is fullness of joy in God
