Make Worshipping God Your Priority No Matter Your Needs

Make Worshipping God Your Priority No Matter Your Needs

Many times we feel overwhelmed by our needs and pray so desperately and incessantly about them that we lose our joy and the essence of our relationship with God. Rather than do that, make worshipping God your priority no matter your needs.

We were created to love and worship God. His blessings, His answering our prayers and meeting our needs naturally flow from that. Heck, He evens blesses those who don’t acknowledge Him as He does with the sun, the rain and other elements.

When we lack this understanding or feel so pressed that we forget this, we put the cart before the horse. It’s like we are saying, “Uniti I’m healed, until my bills are paid, etc., I will only talk to God about them.”

But in doing this, we’re hurting God and cheating ourselves. God longs for your company. He wants to hear our petitions but more than, He yearns for our praise and declarations of love for Him.

My brother, my sister, iIt’s the relationship that counts. Once I was praying so hard for something and my friend told me to give it a rest because it was preventing me from enjoying worship and my entire fellowship with the Lord. I realised she was right and took her advice.

Gritting my teeth and praying day and night wasn’t improving the situation I was praying about. It was only making me frustrated and miserable.

Always remember that our God is faithful and He longs to bless you more than you want to be blessed. In fact, He loves you more than you could ever love yourself.

Just give priority to worshipping and glorifying Him. Ask Him for what you need in the process but do that with the confidence that He hears you. And submit to His timing thereafter, knowing that He will bless you in His perfect time.

    • Yes. Worship brings down God’s presence and that can work out our miracles even without our asking. May the Lord visit you according to your needs in Jesus’ name. Amen.
