A REVELATION OF GOD’S LOVE
I want to share with you a revelation of God’s love from the passage below.
16 “Do not fear;
Zion, let not your hands be weak.
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
– Zephaniah 3: 16-17 (NKJV)
These are some of my favourite scriptures. They are a reminder that God is with me, a Mighty Warrior, who saves, so I need not be afraid.
Verse 17 gives me further affirmation that God cares about me with very tender imagery that reminds me of how a mother treats her child.
God rejoices over me with gladness, He shushes me with His love when I’m upset. And the icing on the cake, He rejoices over me with singing.
Picture a mother cradling her child in her arms, making sweet whispers to calm it down, singing a lullaby to it or just singing with joy that she has the gift of this child and making the baby laugh.
That is what I see every time I read these scriptures. God loves me, God fights for me, God is concerned about me, God cherishes me and He is excited about me- the work of His hands.
Do you see what I see in these scriptures? I hope you do and I pray that that revelation of God’s love fills you with the confidence you need to go into this new week. Amen in Jesus’ name. 🧡
