MY LOVE AWAITS (POEM)
From the time you rouse to the time you turn in
I watch you with bated breath in hopefulness
I make advances, bold and demure, to catch your eye
From the crisp air you inhale at night with gladness
To the warm breeze that caresses your skin by day
Through every face that smiles at you, I implore
And every kindness shown to you, I inspire
But you are yet to acknowledge my affection
And it seems you misunderstand my intention
You often claim that you and I are close enough
But you forget there’s a bridge you need to cross
Still, I will not give up on you; still, my love awaits!

I hope that everyone this poem is speaking to understands and hurries across that bridge. Don’t keep such an incomparable love waiting any longer.
