Nigeria is slipping from sick to comatose
Where it will all end nobody knows
From Your lofty throne, Father, look down
Stop the drift before we drown

Oil prices are down and power is off
Fuel is expensive, food is hardly enough
The Naira is worth little and yet it is scarce
But Your great love is something my country still has

Lord, revive the nation from top to bottom
Help our leaders to rule with wisdom
To use our resources to develop the country
And tackle our problems till we gain the victory

In Jesus’ name, amen.

  1. We need to pray for our country. Our God is able to pull us from the brink and bring enduring prosperity. He can help both the citizens and leaders to be prudent in managing of resources. Let it be so in Jesus’ name.

    • When you wrote this post, Nigeria is still in coma, now they’re brain dead. From all indices, it looks as if there’s no hope on the way but the Lord is saying, is there anything too hard for the Lord to do?

  2. Please lord answer this prayer and revive Nigeria from its comatose position. make Nigeria a land of promise and turn our reproach to glory. help our leaders to understand the essentials of leadership and grow us together to become a people who will be in the news for good things and not for evil and corruption. revive the spirit of love and tolerance and make each man accountable to the country.

  3. Our God is the God of all possibilities, their is nothing he cannot do. He that led the Israelites out of the land of Egpt to their promise land will revive this country in Jesus name . Amen

  4. Great post. but while we pray for God to intervene, we need to put efforts towards making the world a better place. A little bit of goodwill can make the world a bit bearable

  5. I pray that this country is truly and really great. May all negative establishments in Nigeria be uprooted and God’s own righteousness prevail

  6. God bless you ma. Nigeria is a great country, Gods own country and therefore must stand out in greatness. All we ask lord is to revive this country that we would know the importance of good governance, that we would know what we have and use them for the benefits of its people.

  7. Great post. but while we pray for God to intervene, we need to put efforts towards making the world a better place. A little bit of goodwill can make the world a bit bearable.
    Nigeria needs God

  8. Ma, am really happy for how greatly you have Nigeria at heart. I pray that as you continue to pray good things for this country good things will come you way. God bless you, we love you ma.

  9. May God come to the rescue of our country and appoint leaders that will change this country and turn it into a better place in Jesus name. Thank you ma for this motivational post.

  10. Our country Nigeria really need to be revived again. Just as your position in the poem, every aspect of the country’s sector is death couple with the corrup politicians and confused political ideology. The ill nature of the country is what one can’t easily believe that a positive change could come. But because we believe that there is nothing impossible for God to do, we are to pray to him for the revival and emancipation of this country from its deteriorated condition. Thanks.

  11. “Nigeria is slipping from sick to comatose
Where it will all end nobody knows
From Your lofty throne, Father, look down
Stop the drift before we drown”
This lines really caught my attention. Nigeria really needs Gods help and intervention. Nigeria really needs to be revived again. I pray God comes to our aid. Amen!.

  12. One day everything will be alright if we put our trust in God and also choose a good and knowledgeable leader. Nigeria will be revived Amen.

  13. We earnestly pray the Lord to revive our nation. We can’t go on like this, a situation where our schools fail too many and our cost of living remains on the rise, and everyday evidence emerges that the way our leaders govern, threaten the stability of our nation. Revive Nigeria God!

  14. “The naira is worth little and yet it is scarce”.
That line sounds funny though, but it is not really funny that it is worth little, yet scarce. Little wonder young people sell all they’ve got to travel abroad, where they can hustle and make huge amount of money. .
May God cause his light to shine in Nigeria. Amen
