The Cosmic Divide (A Poem)

Often in the hustle and bustle of life, we seem oblivious of the significant picture. The choices we make each day say where we’re pitching our tent in the agelong conflict between good and evil. The battle rages on, day in, day out. Who’s gonna win in the struggle over your life?

As you go away from here, may this poem guide you to cast your decisive vote in this contest to enlist you so that your future choices, everyday, will be guided aright. Make no mistake about it, there’s no sitting on the fence for anyone on this matter. You must enlist to join the forces on either side. Delay is dangerous. Cast your vote now in the cosmic divide and be sure to cast it right.

THE COSMIC DIVIDE
Two kingdoms seek my allegiance side by side
One loud and boastful, beautified
Leads down the primrose path, though disguised
The other’s king once lived and died
Modelling death to vice and self denied
I’m tempted to say, “My time I will bide”
But I must cast my vote now in the cosmic divide
Yes, I must cast my vote now in the cosmic divide

We are sitting on the fence wit the full on ability to jump into whichever side of the fence we want that’s why we need to do it with God or on his part so as to always walk side by side with righteousness

God is the one that will help us make right choices when we are on the fence between good and evil. So we should ask God for his guidance in every thing we do.

Right, but we should first receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour so that the Holy Spirit can live in us. You are blessed, Stanislaus!

We need Jesus in our daily activities, but we have to endeavor to walk in his light and spirit. By his grace, we shall achieve our aim.

The cosmic divide is an age long battle to win souls to either side. I still ponder the question ‘which side is winning?’. The good or the bad side?. This poem stresses the essence of choosing right and on time too for no one knows which day shall be his last. I know where I’ll cast my vote, I know where I’d like to belong so I’ll strive to make sure it works out for me. Thank you aunty

  • An interesting piece. May help us to choose the right path

I think our speech should cohere with our action. We might say we pitch our tent with the good kingdom but our actions and behaviour is saying that we are for the other kingdom. Its high time we pitch our tent completely with one kingdom.

Decision making can be a difficult thing to do, but I think with the leading of the holy spirit, we can rightfully make decision in cosmic divide.

End time is near. I pray that God will give us the strength to be steadfast in righteousness till he comes…Amen
