THE RIGHT CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE FIGHT TO DESTROY AMERICA

We are living in a peculiar time in history when the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his supporters are essentially the underdog as elections approach, persecuted by corporate America, almost the entire government bureaucracy (including the legislative and judicial arms), the educational system and most vociferously by the MSM. The easiest way to lose a job; get blacklisted in Hollywood; be deplatformed by tech giants, like Google, Facebook and Twitter; be doxed and physically assaulted or see your property destroyed is to hold the American flag or express support for Trump. (By the way, I love rooting for the underdog.)

The aforementioned arms of society and the immediate past president, Barack Obama, have run a far-reaching subversive operation called the Resistance from the time the incumbent was elected. In fact, the groundwork for this operation was laid during the campaigns for the last presidential elections with extensive spying on the Trump campaign and his associates to acquire Intel for building what Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent, Peter Strzok, and FBI lawyer, Lisa Page, called an “insurance policy” in case Trump won.

#Obamagate as this criminal enterprise has been called is the most scandalous and most elaborate spying operation carried out by an incumbent American president on his political opponent and private citizens associated with him all in a bid to obtain information with which to blackmail, intimidate and entrap them for spurious litigation and frustrate the success of the incoming administration. Obama weaponised the FBI, the intelligence agencies and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to do this, with constant leaks of classified information to the media in order to sabotage the Trump administration.

After two years of an unwarranted multimillion dollar investigation (the Muellar probe) and a failed impeachment exercise, the Democrats are dragging out the reopening of their states and cities in hopes that the American economy will not recover before the November elections from the devastation occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. Seeing that their ploy in that regard is becoming unsustainable, they have resorted to stoking violence and anarchy, including the creation of autonomous zones, destruction of monuments, the burning of the American flag and calling for the disbandment of the police force. How much longer before they start attacking Jews and Christians and burning more places of worship as they have done with the historic St John’s Episcopal Church opposite the White House?

This recent mayhem was unleashed under the guise of protests against police brutality on Blacks but a leader of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement recently declared on national television (as discerning folks already knew) that their goal is to force Trump out of office, tear down America and rebuild it along Marxist lines. The goals of the BLM movement are reminiscent of the Black Power and Weather Underground movements of the 1960s and 70s. The latter, to which Obama belonged, was a militant anti-imperialism and Communist organisation which carried out bombings and such. Note that this chaos is playing out in some other countries, notably in Europe, so it’s seen as a global movement. This explains the demonisation of the country and anyone who espouses patriotic, religious or real anti-racism sentiments, the latter referring to insistence that people be treated fairly regardless of their race, not claiming that the White race is singularly responsible for all the evil in the world and the disparity in outcomes for people of different races and thus should be punished and even exterminated.

But how did America get here? How did the forces of evil which propel those who want to destroy America become so emboldened that they are stalking the land virtually unchallenged? The scripture that comes to my mind is this:

“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way,” from the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares (Matthew 13:25).

However, while the laid-back attitudes of Christians and other people of goodwill to public affairs may have contributed to the current crisis, it is the agelong fight between good and evil that has found a theater in the streets, homes and offices of America and both sides are beginning to understand that the fight is to the death. As Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump’s former National Security Advisor, who has been the victim of a prolonged legal battle (read as witchhunt) emanating from #Obamagate once said, America is the last stand on earth for freedom. Once America is trounced, there will be nowhere else to run to. All other places that take a stand against the encroaching totalitarianism will be quickly crushed.

Until the Lord Jesus returns, we need to fight for our freedoms and all that God has given us and the avenue for doing that is not only through prayer but political engagement as well. Otherwise, we won’t even be allowed to fulfil the Great Commission:

“18. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power i is given unto me in  heaven and in earth.
19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:18-20

That is why Jesus said, “Occupy till I come!” – (Luke 19:13) He wasn’t talking primarily about commercial increase in this Parable of the Ten Minas but of bearing fruit for the Kingdom of God.

Christians, therefore, need to put aside their differences and grievances and fight on behalf of POTUS and the country. Claiming moral superiority because one does not like Trump’s tweets or past is no longer a tenable position. Recent events have clearly shown that the other side is going for the jugular of faith, freedom, safety, unity, prosperity and everything good.

Whatever happens, our God reigns and His counsel will eventually prevail. True, the Bible predicts that the enemy will take total charge of the world before the Lord Jesus returns, but no one knows exactly when that will be. So in the meantime, put on your armour, dear Christian, and push back against the raging evil threatening your life and everything you hold dear.

Ephesians 6:10-13
“10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Hmm! If this is happening to America (a country that many countries look up to) what will become of other countries. We, the Christians indeed need to take action. We pray and put our faith in God to fight for us, but I believe that’s not enough. We need to take actions politically. We must be there to bring about the positive change we are praying for. May God help us.

The type of politics played in America against Trump supporters is not appealing at all. And this wolf in sheep clothing attitude of some leaders will never yield a better fruit for America and the world at large. We just have to pray, work together and believe that things will get better. Amen. Nice write up ma ?

America is slowly turning anti-moral and anti-Christian. They will stop at nothing to shut down anybody they consider a threat. So sad!

I don’t understand why everything concerning Donald Trump should always be narrowed down to Christianity and Christians. I mean Trump was very arrogant and adamant during his days in office and he got just what he deserved.

    • You have no idea what you’re talking about. Trump was the most democratic president America has seen in years in spite of being witch hunted by various segments of society, notably the media and tech oligarchs. He was banned from social media, sued over and over for trying to stand for the common people. He ran an open administration while being castigated and lied against by the Democratic establishment and the media, their propaganda machine.

How responsive has the Biden administration been to the ordinary people, to the media that serve as Democrat lap dogs? Does he hold press conferences, does he answer questions, has he been summoned to Congress over inaction in the face of the horrendous crisis at the Southern border? How many executive orders did he sign in his first two weeks and subsequently in office? Is he following due process in anything?

Does he have any idea how to run an economy except to run it into the ground? Is America respected anymore? Russia, North Korea and Iran are running riot, with the latter funding terrorist Hamas’ attacks on Israel?

It’s sad when people talk about what they don’t know. It’s pathetic, in fact.

We need God, America needs God. But He can’t come from his throne to help us, we hope and pray He raises men and women of faith to fight and do his will here on earth; there are more to this than seen…..

  • Nwoke uchenna

We need to watch and pray, because the tactics of the enemy is being embedded under good will, but in it is destruction and wickedness. The fight of freedom or liberation on the enemy’s part is to lead many astray into sin.

    • There is so much wisdom in your comment. Not many can see this. One actually needs a discerning spirit to see through the charade and the duplicitous nature of the so-called fight for social justice.

Whatever happens.. We shouldn’t forget we are Christians. It takes the grace of God to stand firm in truth even in the face of political crisis and chaos like this. We just plead for God to put a Godly minded fellow on that political seat.

Tho I heard rumors that Joe Biden is about implementing the use of microchips on every citizen in America before they can go anywhere or buy anything .

A detailed write up ma. I wonder ma, how do you get your facts to spice up your work?
However, Christians should effect a positive change in the affairs of the world through prayers and also through political engagements.

  • Peter Chinecherem Nathaniel

America is more or less the world stage, and the truth of the matter is that are in authority wants to take out anyone who stands in their way, against their evil agenda. I am sick and tired of the christians laying back and saying” Let the will of the lord be done or Praying” prayer is key no doubt but not sometimes, not everything requires prayers, wisdom is profitable to direct, even Jesus at a point in his ministry had to stand and spoke up, rebuking the leaders, so christians should not only pray, but get involved in the political involvement of America. “When the righteous man is In authority, the people rejoice”. Thank you ma

  • Chukwuemeka uchechukwu pepertua

In the world like this,we don’t have to be lukewarm Christians. We should also contribute to the fight through our prayers.

It’s not easy to want to stand for God on a political position with many waves of opposition.

The weapons of our warfare as Christians are not carnal. We need prayer to fight our battles for earthly freedom.

  • This blog post highlights the challenges and division in American politics, emphasizing the need for Christians to engage politically and pray for their nation. It calls for unity and active involvement in the face of growing social and political unrest.

  • We must remain vigilant and offer prayers, as the enemy often conceals destructive intentions behind the facade of good will. The enemy’s strategy involves luring many towards sin, posing a threat to freedom and liberation

  • Kosisochukwu divine Ndulue

It’s obvious that things are turning side ways in America……we pray that despite all this ..the will of God shall prevail

  • ONUGWU CHIDIMMA CONSTANCE

    Well said Ma,
You know we Christians are too cool when it comes to politics, probably because they feel it’s not what a child of God should engage in, but even the Bible stated in Proverbs 29:2 KJV: When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
So as Christians it’s our right to take charge of the world and the things that runs in it. When it comes to election, vote!!, when it’s to prayer, pray without season!! And when it’s to be vigilant, we should be!!.
God bless you Ma, more Grace.

  • Ezeudogu Oluebube Mirabel
